Apprenticeship in the Prym Group – an excellent base for a promising career
For decades, qualified vocational training has been one of the basic principles of the successful company policy of the Prym Group. In our opinion, well-educated workers play an essential role in maintaining our competitive advantage and helping to secure the development opportunities for each individual.
With an apprentice quota of 10%, i.e., approx. 100 apprentices in different recognised trades, and training for years at the German locations, the Prym Group at the Stolberg location lies significantly higher than the German average – and that is the way we want to keep it!
Apart from training apprentices for our own requirements, we also train apprentices in our apprentice’s workshop on the behalf of other companies from the Stolberg region and the surrounding area. Many companies trust in the high standard of our training, which caters for the requirements and needs of a modern industrial company. The excellent examination results of the past years (average grade “good”) are a sign of our dedication.
Our apprentices are intensively trained to meet the requirements of a modern, industrial profession in the scope of a “dual system” of training (on-the-job and theoretical). Apart from the on-the job training and theoretical instruction, the apprentices learn at an early stage to accept responsibility for tasks and to solve these independently. In the scope of company project work, the apprentices use, for example, the material they have learned and develop successful solutions to different problems in teams together with others.
Due to the fact that the Prym Group is a network of different domestic and foreign companies, we can offer our apprentices with good grades interesting development perspectives after completion of their apprenticeship.
